Last weekend, Judy and I met her Dad & Mom at Branson, Mo. for a great time. We arrived on Thursday about 2pm. We stayed in a luxurious condo. On Friday we spent the entire day at Silver Dollar City, enjoying the World Fest. Singing and dancing and musical groups from all around the world, and great foods from many countries. For lunch, Judy and her parents tried the Italian food while I tried the Polish wurst called Kilbasa. It was all very delicious. We were able to sample Coke from many different countries. What fun! On Thursday evening we went to Branson Landing after we ate a sumptuous meal of ribs and homemade bread at the condo. The above picture is the music/water/fire show on the river. It was absolutely beautiful and very relaxing.
As stated, we spent the entire day in SDC on Friday. During the night Thursday we slept through a pretty bad storm with trees down and a tornado in the area. By the time we reached SDC at 9am, the rain had stopped and by 10am the sun was shining, and did so for the rest of the day. The above picture shows some of the singers from Uganda. These are children who live in an outreach work called Watomo. Their parents have died either of aids or war. They sang beautifully of their love for Jesus who has given them meaning and hope for life.
Judy and her mom, Pat, decided to ride the Big Swing. Here is a video of it. Judy and Pat are #3 and #4 on the front side. Enjoy the movie, and then see the still picture of them as they get off. (below). I had to take the picture through a very high fence, and at one point I stepped back to get the swing at its highest point above the fence.
We left Saturday morning after a wonderful breakfast in Branson. Our trip to and from was 4 hours each way, and the scenery was very beautiful. What a great trip the whole time was!

I've heard plenty of great activities to do in Branson! I'm actually trying to plan a trip up there and was wondering if there are any Branson hotels you might suggest.
